YDPay Launches Its Virtual USD Card

YDPay Card changes everything about how you use your money.

There has always been a gap between having crypto and actually using it.

You could see your balance. You could track the markets. You could send and receive. But the moment you needed to pay for something in the real world, pay for a subscription, handle a bill, your crypto stayed on the screen while you reached for something else.

That gap is now closed, and we are genuinely excited to tell you about it.

The YDPay Card is a virtual debit card that lives inside your YDPay app, connected to your wallet, and ready to spend. Whether you're holding crypto or fiat, your funds can now move from your wallet to the real world in seconds. This is what digital finance was always supposed to feel like.

So, what does the card actually do?

Let's keep it simple, because the product is.

When you create your YDPay Card, you get a virtual debit card, your card number, expiry date, and cardholder name, all secured inside the app. You top it up from whichever wallet you choose, set the spending limits that feel right for you, and that is it. Your crypto is spendable.

You have full control over your funds from day one. You decide how much goes on the card, when it goes on, and how it gets used. Daily limits, monthly limits, per-transaction limits — all adjustable, all yours, all the time.

Every time your card moves money, you see it. Merchant name, amount, timestamp, right there in your transaction history, searchable and downloadable whenever you need it. And if you ever want to pause spending, you can freeze your card straight from the app, change your PIN, set alerts, or control where the card works, online, in-store, or at an ATM. The card responds to you.

There is also an auto top-up option for those of you who prefer things to run on their own. Set a minimum balance threshold, choose your preferred wallet, and your card refills itself when it dips below that amount. One less thing on your mind.

And underneath all of it, every action and every transaction is protected by biometric and MPIN authentication, PCI DSS Level 1 compliance, and AES-256 encryption. Your money is safe, and you will feel that from the moment you start using it.

Just joining YDPay? Here is how easy this is.

We built the onboarding to be genuinely quick. Download the app, sign up, and complete your verification. From there, head to the Cards section, create your virtual card, choose where you want to fund it from, and you are ready. That is the whole journey, from zero to a live card connected to your crypto wallet, with no branch visits, no waiting around, and nothing complicated standing between you and your money.

Already part of the YDPay family?

Your card is live in the app right now. Open it, go to the Cards section, and everything is already there waiting for you. Same wallet, you know. Same platform you trust. Just with a card attached to it now.

This is what financial access looks like.

Africa has always had the ambition, the talent, and the drive. At YDPay, we build tools that match that energy, tools for the way people actually live. Fast & Accessible. A card that works anywhere on the continent and on any platform.

The YDPay Card is a step towards a future where your digital assets go wherever you go, where your crypto balance and your spending power are the same thing. We are building that future, and we are building it for you.

Your card is ready. Go get it.
