Role Overview
The Compliance Associate will play a vital role in supporting YDPAY’s legal and regulatory compliance framework. You will work closely with the Compliance Manager to ensure that all activities, from customer onboarding to transaction monitoring, meet internal standards and external regulatory requirements. This position offers a unique opportunity to be part of a compliance team that is both proactive and innovative, helping to shape YDPAY’s approach to risk, governance, and responsible growth.
Key Responsibilities
· Support the implementation and monitoring of YDPAY’s compliance program, including AML/CFT/CPF, data protection, information security, and regulatory reporting.
· Conduct customer due diligence (CDD/KYC) reviews and periodic risk assessments.
· Assist in the review and approval of transactions, investigate potential suspicious activity, and escalate findings where necessary.
· Maintain and update the regulatory tracker, ensuring timely updates to compliance policies, controls, and procedures inline with evolving requirements.
· Maintain compliance registers, including incident logs, regulatory correspondence, and training records.
· Support the preparation of regulatory filings, audits, and inspections.
· Assist with compliance training and awareness programs by providing research, documentation, and logistical support.
· Review marketing materials, business initiatives, and third-party partnerships to identify potential compliance risks.
· Contribute to YDPAY’s measurement and continual improvement program through data tracking and analysis.
· Collaborate with Operations, Product, Support, and other teams to ensure compliance is embedded into business workflows.
· Provide administrative and research support to the Compliance Manager and contribute to departmental projects.
Required Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Candidates with equivalent experience and a demonstrated interest in compliance are also encouraged to apply.
· 2–3 years of experience in compliance, risk management, or regulatory operations (experience in financial services, virtual assets, fintech, or payments is an advantage), with at least one year in customer onboarding or transaction monitoring.
· Strong understanding of AML/CFT/CPF regulations, data protection principles, and financial regulatory frameworks.
· Excellent analytical, research, and report-writing skills.
· Ability to perform horizon scanning and track regulatory developments.
· Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite(Outlook, SharePoint, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) or Google Workspace.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a proactive, curious, and ethical mindset.
Bonus Skills
· Certifications such as DCP, CAMS, CFCS, CCAS,CRC, or CIPM/CIPP.
· Experience using compliance tools such as Chainalysis, SumSub, Comply Advantage, or similar AML/KYC systems.
· Experience drafting or contributing to regulatory reports.
· Familiarity with fintech, blockchain, or digital asset compliance frameworks.
· Previous experience working with or for a Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP).
